I find it so lovely that I am a lifelong devotee and priestess of Hekate and I have Sirius conjunct my ascendant (0 degrees, 0 minutes, 49 seconds) and the asteroid Hekate conjunct my Midheaven. Thank you for this wonderful essay. On my commute home from work, I sat on the bus and noticed Sirius, pretty low in the sky just passed the full moon we'd just had. There was something magical getting glimpses of Sirius as it popped out of the shadows of houses and trees. And now I'm curious to see its position in my own natal chart. My guess is that it resides in the shadows. But I'm willing to be proven wrong. :)
